Dear Reader, Many of you know that I'm based in Pasadena, CA. I moved here 9 years ago and it's the first place I've ever lived where I haven't had the thought "where will I move to next?". Before moving here I thought LA was filled with vapid, self-involved, plastic surgery-loving people. And while there are a few of them around, for the most part, I've been pleasantly surprised by how kind, helpful, and down-to-earth everyone is. As I'm sure most of you know, the Eaton fires tore apart my community. Catherine and I know so many people who lost their homes, schools, and businesses. It's heartbreaking. Just after the fires, I received an email from Heal the Bay, a non-profit that does beach clean-ups and much more. One of their mottos is "Protect What You Love". This spoke to me so deeply that I created something for you, a free phone wallpaper to spruce up your home screen and remind you that there's hope. While for me it is about my community, I think this sentiment applies to many things happening in the world right now. Paying it ForwardThis February, the At the Dot Design Etsy shop is hosting the Protect What You Love Sale. 100% of profits from every purchase will be donated to support victims of the Eaten Fire. Donations will be sent to Altadena Girls and the Pasadena Community Foundation Eaton Fire Relief & Recovery Fund. Your love for nature-inspired, history-rich designs can make a difference. Together, we’ll bring beauty and hope to both homes and lives. Let’s spread love where it’s needed most—thank you for being part of our journey. With hope, |
