I bought a TV and accidentally made room for creativity

Dear Reader,

Hi [First Name],

I had to buy a television last week—for the first time in my life. My old Mac desktop finally gave up (it couldn’t even run the latest version of Chrome), and while I didn’t expect to be standing in Best Buy debating screen sizes, here we are.

The surprise twist? Clearing that giant monitor off my desk made space for actual sketching. Turns out, sometimes letting go of old tech makes room for new creative flow.

Creative progress check-in 🐝

With that freshly cleared-off desk, I’ve been easing into the Bugs in Bloom drawing challenge. I’ve got a lavender + bee sketch I’m really happy with and plan to ink it this week.

If you’re also doing a challenge—or just trying to show up creatively—here’s your reminder: you’re allowed to go slow. You’re allowed to keep going. It all counts.

Here's a peek at my sketch so far.

This Week's Tool that's Helping Me:

Co-working sessions. My friend Stacie and I have been doing two lunch-hour sessions a week (give or take), and they’ve made a huge difference. Just having quiet accountability helps me stay focused and actually finish what I set out to do.

If you’ve got a creative buddy—try it! (And if not, hit reply. Maybe I can help you find one.)

Artists, I'd Love Your Input!

I’m considering turning Pitch Like a Pro into an email-based course and accountability coach—something simple and supportive to help you build a consistent pitching habit.

Before I build it out, I’d love to know:

Until next time, here’s to making space—on your desk and in your schedule—for what creativity needs this week.

With warmth and wild wonder,
