💛 A Cozy Tribute to the Mountains I Love

Dear Reader,

It's almost April! Is it just me or is time finally starting to speed up a bit? I have had quite a few things going on over the last month, including a trip to visit my parents in Texas :). But my real big piece of news is on the next line, so I'm gonna let you get to it!

Introducing Love Letter to the Mountains

For the past few months, I’ve been quietly working on a design that means a lot to me—and today I finally get to share it with you.

Meet Love Letter to the Mountains—a knit blanket inspired by the whimsical wildlife and ever-changing beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains, a place I love deeply.

Every morning and evening, Catherine and I walk our dog Orla and look up at these mountains. They’re part of our daily rhythm, part of our story. Some days they’re blanketed in green, sometimes snow-kissed, always magical. We’ve spent so many weekends hiking their trails, spotting toads, fried egg poppies, newts, and snakes—and soaking in the views that remind us why we love living here.

When the Eaton Fire tore through parts of the range not long ago, I felt an ache to preserve a piece of what we love. This blanket is that piece.

It features a tiny toad, a fried egg poppy, a California newt, a curious snake, a mountain silhouette, and—right at the center—a heart. Because that’s what this is: a little love letter stitched together in soft, cozy yarn.

More YouTube Videos 🥳🤩

I can hardly believe it, but I just posted my 6th YouTube video! I've somehow managed to create one video a week for the last 6 weeks and nobody is more surprised by that than me! If you have ever thought about jumping on the YT bandwagon but felt it was too much of a time commitment, this one's for you.
