One of the questions I get asked most when someone is just starting out with block printing is whether to start on paper or fabric. And I get why it's confusing — the supplies are different, the inks are different, and nobody wants to spend money on the wrong thing before they've even made their first print.

If this is a question you've asked yourself....I made a video that walks through each side of the coin:

I don't give you one right answer, because there isn't one — but I do help you figure out which surface makes more sense for where you are right now. It's the clearest I've been able to put this into words.

A couple of other things happening over here lately:

I've been working on a new academic calendar (yes, it's late...but better late than never). It's in the final stages, just a couple more illustrations to go. More on that very shortly.
